An electrical empowerment Company based in the Wynberg, Cape Town, seeks to employ the following full-time position:


The overall responsibility is to oversee and manage the finances and financial reporting of the Company. The successful candidate will be responsible to the Operations Manager.


 Ensure that the Company’s financial systems, procedures and controls are effective.

 The preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.

 Manage and maintain the financial books and records of the Company.

 Manage and maintain the Company’s payroll and related statutory returns.

 Preparation and submission of Vat returns.

 Provide detailed analytical reports on various tenders undertaken by the Company.

 Prepare annual budget and manage the budgeting process.

 Provide financial reports to funders.

 Preparation of year end audit file and liaison with auditors.

 Ensure sound governance and risk management policies & procedures are implemented and adhered to.

 Manage accounts staff


 At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce

 Majoring in accounting, or such other graduate qualification as considered appropriate

 Proven ability to manage the financial operations of a substantial organization

Minimum of 3 years Financial Management experience.

 Experience of tax and legal requirements (inclusive UIF; Provident Funds; PAYE, VAT etc)

 Fully computer literate ( Knowledge of Pastel Accounting, processing of salaries on Pastel Payroll System an advantage)

 E-filing

 Excellent people and communication skills

 Valid South African Driver’s License


 We offer a market related salary dependent on experience and qualifications

 Starting Date: Preferable – 1 October 2016 or soonest.
